Also designed to provide a long-lasting low maintenance replacement for the traditional "8ft by 28ft" steel buoys used widely around the Australian coastline.
Although this excellent visibility aspect is a strong feature of the G5000, undoubtedly the LOW maintenance feature of these buoys is what interests most of those authorities purchasing these buoys.
With over 90% of the surface area, i.e. the buoyancy and upper sections, being rotationally moulded, maintenance is thus reduced by up to 90%.
This can relate to (up to) $20K per annum in maintenance savings.
